Wool is the underdog of outdoor apparel. So I'm promoting these. Purchased these and an Icebreaker Swift mid calf pant. These were cheaper with a longer more flattering length. Pocket a wee bit small in front hip. Wool is not too heavy. Product has a nice weave and soft feel. Like budda! Buy em!
These are very comfy! The fabric is really soft and stretchy. They're breathable even when you work up a sweat. I use them as workout pants and for casual wear as well. True to size. There's one little pocket good maybe for one key. Definitely worth the price.
I am a huge fan of I/O bio merino. The fabric keeps you warm when chilled and yet breathable when you start to work up a sweat. The fabric has a nice stretch to it making it a good for yoga/rock climbing. I definitely agree with the other reviewer, the wool is softer than Icebreaker.
I gave these pants 5 stars as I'm an avid user of Ice breaker Marino and have found that I/O Bio fills the style gap completely. I already have a pair of the I/O BioTackpants (made with the same fabric as these Capri's) and their quality and fit led me confidently purchasing this pair of Capri pants. They are the perfect casual for wearing with my DocMartin boots in the winter and for teeming up with tunic tops and over skirts. The wide waist band sits just on the hips, low and is very comfy. I/O Bio marino is softer than Icebreaker, I'll get to comment on the quality as time goes on as I've got Icebreaker stuff that is dating past ten years and still going strong. As for size, the chart provided is spot on.
Comfy & cute
I/O Bio makes such soft wool! These capris are really comfy. The little notch at the bottom of each leg means they fit calves of all sizes, and I think it makes these pants look cuter than regular capris.
These capris are a bit high waisted (but I'm also very short waisted) so I wear slightly longer shirts to hide just how high the waist is.
There is one very small zip pocket on the front hip. I can just barely get my phone inside (and nothing else, mind you) but I had to fight to get it out. In the future, I'll only be putting change or very small things inside. I wish the pocket were just a tiny bit bigger to accommodate a regular sized phone. Even widening it a few centimeters would have made all the difference.
The fabric is very stretchy and comfortable, and the logo on the side is not very noticeable. I love these capris so much that I was thinking about getting a second pair and cutting them to make shorts!
