Great for Layering!

I used this as the base layer and then depending on the weather, I'd either add another light or mid-weight layer and then my outer shell (water/snow proof). It feels very nice and soft next to the skin so if you are looking for a light weight base layer, you won't be disappointed.

I have been wearing these daily and actually plan my outfits around them! They are so soft, comfortable and keep my temp well regulated. I wore them under a silk 'layer' wrap skirt in 30 degree F weather to go out with friends and I was toasty, but not overheated. We ended up sitting next to the fireplace for dinner and I wasn't hot, felt just right. Standing outside when the wind kicked up (50 mph gusts) and I was just fine! The skirt went flying, but my legs didn't get cold! I wish they made this in gloves, because my hands were cold!

      lightweight, stretchy and comfortable

I've had my pair about a week and I find them to be really comfortable and warm when worn underneath clothing in cool temperatures, without being too hot. When I first tried them on i thought they were a tiny bit itchy, but now they dont itch at all and feel really soft to wear. The material is thin and lightweight (and slightly sheer if stretched) but they would still be suitable to be worn on their own as leggings or under a skirt. The stretchiness makes them really comfortable and good to wear when active, plus you also get a bit of lee-way with the fit. They dont come up very high on the waist, which may or may not suit you. We'll see how they go for durability, being quite thin I am a little wary, but the lightweight fabric is what makes them so comfy. 4 stars out of 5 for now and I'll see how well they last.

Very warm but fits a little funny

I bought these tights a size up than my normal size because I'd heard this brand runs a bit smaller than most. I wore them under my ski pants and they were quite warm. I was a little disappointed by the fit. The waist was large (I had trouble keeping these up!) but the material was too tight around my hips/thighs. I have a curvier figure, which may have something to do with it, but I've never had this problem with tights before.

Overall, these tights were very warm and the material is great! But I think they will fit best on women with straighter figures.

well, I'm very curvy; waist 31 an seat 42,5 and a size L fit me perfectly - actually these are the best and cutest fitting tights I own (and I have lots of merino from many brands). Go with your normal size in bottoms - or size down, there is a lot of stretch!

But mabey size up in tops... I normally were size M, but have a very long torso (I'm 5'11) chest 38, waist 31, witch put me between size M & L. I like my medium top, but it's almost painted on - feels god thoug - and it's a bit short for active use in cold weather. Next time I'm ordering L

Are these tights substantial enough to be...

Are these tights substantial enough to be worn on their own like leggings? Or are they too see-through to wear on their own?
