If your current pair of baselayer bottoms feels like a burlap potato sack, lasso a pair of I/O Bio Merino Contact Tights and experience the difference that microfiber merino wool can make. Even those with sensitive skin will enjoy the smooth, non-irritating interior along with the superior warmth, odor-resistance, and breathability of wool.

Bottom Line: It’s like dipping your legs in a vat of warm cocoa butter.

Warm, breathable, and funk-resistant. What more could you ask for in long underwear?

They're soft and comfortable, but may be a touch long if you have short legs. The seams at the ankles are relatively flat, which is nice but a bit inelastic which could make stuffing them into boots a bit of an issue if you have scrawny legs and/or ski boots.

Short for me.

I'm 6'4", 185 lbs and got the XL. The "ankle" part of the tight rises almost to mid calf, which feels annoying. Strangely when I put on socks the annoyance disappears and all is well. The are comfortable and warm but still I would not buy these again because of the fit.

I think they're designed that way specifically. Not quite a 3/4 leg but still short to minimize overlap with socks. If you look up the sizing for this product, even the small and mediums only have inseams of 26" which is a full 4" shorter than inseam of outerwear pants...
