Good shorts. Great for hiking or casual use. The fabric is comfortable and dries quickly. My only complaint would be the belt is a little short and difficult to get through the buckle.

I would go with the large. I am generally a 35" waist and have the large. They are a little tighter than i would normally wear so they should fit you perfectly.

Material is perfect balance of toughness and thickness. Due to the 67% cotton, they feel like you are actually wearing something, but do not get hot here in the texas heat. The pockets are strong and as these are my second pair, I know they last. The exposed belt provides a way to hook up a camera bag if you had to. The only downside is the switch from velcro on the cargo pockets to snaps. I'd rather have the velcro.

These shorts are good for casual wear and the great outdoors. Have worn them for climbing and hiking and they're comfortable. Haven't tested them in water yet.

this material seems like a great blend, very comfy, soft and durable. integral belt is a nice touch. quality seems much better than most.
