Unanswered Question

Does the Hoodlamb Long Jacket have a chin abrasion guard? I tried on the Hoodlamb Parka and loved it- except for the painful moment when I zipped my chin into it!

Too Big :(

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
  • Fit:Runs large

I love this coat! It is heavy, and will have definitely done the trick for Chicago winters. Some reviews say this coat is stiff- I suppose it is, but I don't think it is restrictive, personally. I really, really wish I could have kept this coat, but I am 5'2, 115lbs and an XS was still much too big. the arms were SO long. If you are a taller lady, I highly recommend this coat.

Zipper broke?????

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:True to size

I haven't worn this coat since this winter in Toronto has not be very cold. This week it has been -30C. Started wearing my coat and the zipper broke.......

You would think a coat that is this expensive wouldn't be cheaply made. Very disappointed.

Cool, but returned

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

I loved the look and materials of this coat. Vegan, eco friendly, hard to find! The burgundy is a beautiful color. This coat is HEAVY, which I thought I liked at first for "grounding" - but upon the second and third wear I found myself very restricted, like I was wearing a radiation vest, which made me feel agitated and uncomfortable. The soft lining is beautiful and comfy, but unfortunately shed on my dark clothes. Back it went.

Amazing coat; I wear it for errands, evenings out in the winter and long dog park hangs too -- beats any down coat, any other winter coat I've ever had. Heavy, warm, durable and a fashion statement too—there isn't a place I go wearing it that I don't get compliments or asked about it. The price is reasonable considering the quality; this coat will last forever—an essential to anyone's winter wardrobe—cruelty-free and ethical company a MASSIVE bonus and sealed the deal for me. If you're thinking of investing in a cruelty-full down coat—buy this instead, you won't be sorry you did (for many reasons!)

Runs a bit big, I think; I wear XS in clothing, originally ordered a S and returned it for a XS, still have room for a sweater/scarf combo underneath. You can tell these are made in small stock; one doesn't fit like the next, so if you get one and it doesn't fit right -- try exchanging it for one of the same size (or size down)-- again, worth the effort!
