Description

Solve your energy-bar problem.

If you've ridden the roads of Belgium, Honey Stinger's Organic Stinger Waffles might remind you of the waffles you'd have inevitably snacked on. But aside from the waffle pattern and round shape, the differences are perhaps greater than the similarities.

Honey Stinger's Waffles are created just for endurance athletes, not merely as a tasty morning snack. And that they're packaged in single serving units makes them easy to carry in your jersey pocket for that moment when you'd like to eat something with a bit of texture. The Stinger Waffles are simultaneously toasty and chewy as you eat them. And unlike bizarre lab-born products, the natural ingredients in the Waffles chew easily and go down quick -- almost too quick. Because they taste so good, you'd like for them to last a bit longer.

Like their other energy foods, the Honey Stinger Waffles rely on honey, nature's energy food, for a majority of the carbohydrate load. The honey is easily digested because it's made of a just-right 1:1 blend of fructose and glucose. It acts quickly to give you a burst of energy and is easy on the stomach. With the waffle, you'll also get carbs from organic wheat and soy flour along with organic cane sugar and rice syrup. Honey Stinger Organic Stinger Waffles are packaged in a box of 16 individually wrapped waffles. They come in Honey, Vanilla, Chocolate, Lemon, and Strawberry flavors and are a great on and off the bike snack.

  • Comes as a box of 16 individually wrapped waffles
  • Each 30g waffle contains 160 calories
  • The sweet and chewy waffle doesn’t taste like an ‘energy bar,’ and you may catch yourself eating them at home
  • Not safe for cyclists or runners with allergies to wheat, soy, or eggs

Delicate Cookie Like Snack

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Bought these from a LBS in town before a ride 1 day. Let me tell you that this is my favorite tasting trail snack EVER! Only gripe is the higher amount of fat can slow the digestion process down a tad but I still feel these give me great energy and you can't beat the taste. When I need pure quick energy with no fillers I go for Stinger Chews. Originally tried the honey flavor first and now I'm hooked on the vanilla.

Easy Real Food Go-To

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I took a chance on a box of these in Lemon. Never had them before. They turned out to be my favorite riding food. I don't ride often, so it took me a while to finish the box. Now they are back on sale and I'm picking up some more - this time I'm trying the new Gingersnap flavor.

The Lemon was easy on my stomach. So much so I could eat one (and did) right before a long run and didn't feel bad during the run from eating. Considering how woozy I was getting, it was a great thing I had one with me that day.

The waffle itself is great. Apart from being individually packaged and ready to stuff in a jersey pocket for consumption miles from home, they taste wonderful and feel like actual food, instead of slurping down gels. I like gels, but real food is better. I'll save the gels for later in the ride.

Additional bonus: They're marvelous consumed with coffee as a sweet snack.

best cycling snack

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

my fav snack for cycling; size wise they are perfect, not too heavy to digest, just the right consistency and texture, tastes good, it's the only snack I bring on my rides

Like a party in your mouth...

Yeah, yeah... Everybody came.

These are really good. I was surprised that they are so much like a delicate little waffle cookie with just a bit of a gooey layer in between. It is a bit of a surprise when out on a trail and needing to add a bit of fuel to the tank and getting to eat something so good. I had some little kid being drug up the trail by his parents eyeballing my waffle when we took a little break. "Don't be eyeballing my waffle boy" is what I was thinking but was nice enough to hand one off to him before we kept going.

These waffles are legit. I was going to order the vanilla ones and was steered towards the honey flavor. Good call even though I am usually not the biggest fan of honey flavor.

Delicious

Great mid-ride or mid-hike snack when you need a boost of energy, oh and they happen to be delicious.

My Name is Trevor, and....

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm a Honey Stinger Waffle addict. Breakfast? Well I do need the energy. Brunch on the go? Well they are natural. Midday snack? Well I could use a treat. Late night snack? Well I have worked hard all day. I may have developed a problem.

My only complaint is they don't come in 32 pack, I just go through them too quickly!

Stroopwaffle goodness

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love stoopwaffles from the Netherlands, and these are very similar... plus it gives me the energy I need when I need it. I have only tried the honey flavor and its fantastic!

Yummy energy.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These natural energy waffles are my go-to for quick, clean energy. Great for pre-race and workouts. The fats and complex honey sugar allow for a sustained energy release that doesn't leave you with cotton-mouth or that crash. Extremely delicious, too. I just stick with the honey flavor.

Too good

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are so good they make me feel like I'm doing something illegal. Love em. Go honey flavor!

Finally! Energy without "GU gut"

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love these! When you're out for hours at a time, it's hard to stomach food and there's only so many GU's my stomach can handle. This gives me the sugars I need while adding substance to my stomach. I like to alternate these with GU's or AccelGel's when I'm on the bike hours at a time.

Trailside dessert.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Being the 100th 5-star rating for these waffles, I doubt there's much more I can say about them that hasn't already been said.

They're downright tasy and they're filling. I feel like I'm actually eating something substantial when I grab a package of these after a good climb. The honey one's were great, until I tried the vanilla and now I'm a genuine addict.

Honey is great tasting!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

A friend turned me on to these. I liked the honey flavor so much I purchased a box. These really taste great and don't leave you dry mouth. No stomach cramps with these. Luv em!

blah

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Saw these on sale and picked up the big pack. Still have some left over from last year because I don't like the chocolate flavor and they don't seem to provide the energy I expect. I'll go back to the gels and rice cakes

Almost too good

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Amazing biking food, easy to eat, lots of energy, doesn't give you that sickly sweet overload, and unlike a cliff bar won't leave you with gut pains when you are bent of on a bike all day. Trouble is they are tasty enough you eat them when you aren't riding.

Energy on the go.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I eat these things while sitting on the couch they're so good. In the blue moon of an occasion I happen to find myself doing exercise on a bike, these things keep me going. Don't bother buying them individually, if we sold larger quantities, i'd buy that too.

Awesome

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Could eat 5 of these a day in the backcountry and never get sick of 'em. Taste good, easy to pack, and quick energy.

Chewy, Sweet and Tasty

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Waffles are the best trail/climbing snack to give you the energy you need when your draggin' butt. They are compact and flat so they take little to no room in your pack. But be careful... They are extremely good. You might want more than one!

A little firm when cold

Tastes great and melt in your mouth during summer but a bit firm on a cold day backcountry skiing.
