    Kid-sized snacks.

Keep your stash of full-sized waffles intact and pick up some perfectly proportioned, tyke-sized Honey Stinger Organic Kids' Waffles for the days your groms accompany you on the trails. As with the adult version, these waffles are certified organic and delicious, with a smaller, 80 calorie portion to better meet active kids' snacking needs.

Honey Stinger's Waffles were originally created just for endurance athletes, not merely as a tasty morning snack, so they're made to fuel your little ripper's active lifestyle. Packed in convenient, single-serving units, these waffles tuck into a backpack, lunch box, or pocket for easy access on the go. The Stinger Waffles are simultaneously crisp and chewy, with all-natural ingredients that are easily digestible and bound to be a favorite.

Like Honey Stinger's other energy foods, the Organic Kids' Waffles rely on honey, nature's version of energy gel, for a majority of the carbohydrate load. Honey's blend of fructose and glucose is easily digested and acts quickly to give a burst of energy. The waffles provide needed carbs with a blend of whole wheat, wheat, and soy flours, along with organic cane sugar and rice syrup.

Honey Stinger Organic Kids' Waffles are packaged in a box of 5 individually wrapped waffles.

    Shame on Backcountry

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Ordered in December 2015, received 'Best before July 2015'
Shame on you, Backcountry! You sell poison for kids.
Is it a normal practice here? Because I have similar issues with other items

Just like the bigger "adult" version taste-wise, but smaller. I like to use these as they are more of a simple snack. Easier to share a few of these with friends instead of breaking the others. A bit messy if you're trying to finish one on the drive to the trailhead.

Listen, it's hard to get a 2 year old to eat anything, let alone something organic. But these he greedily devoured. I couldn't really get a review from him as his mouth was too full of honey waffle. But he did manage to tell me that he liked them and was very excited when I told him there were more snacks. This from a kid that only eats bacon when we go out. I also tried one and thought it was pretty tasty. Not too sweet, nice and soft. I know they're for kids, but I think they could be a little larger.

Thank you to Backcountry and Honey Stinger for the opportunity to review this. I'm glad I found a snack to keep in stock when my nephew comes over. I'm tempted to try the adult ones for my bikes rides now!

We love Honey Stinger products! Thank you so much to Backcountry and Honey Stinger for letting us team up with them to review these great snacks.

Let's start out with what the kids think.....these two are super active--they never stop going, and they LOVE food:

Lucy (8): They are TASTEY! They give me calories for my hike and lots of energy. I like the chocolate best--it tastes like a cookie. I wish they were bigger!
Jonah (10): They taste good! I like the chocolate best. They give me lots of energy for soccer and mountain biking.

    Here's what mom loves:
The ingredients! (all organic) what flour, palm fruit oil, rice syrup, cane sugar, honey, lecithin, spices, baking soda.
    That's it.
No sneaky HFC, fake colors/flavors, no fillers, just pure energy to keep your kids going. These are small and pack super easily, and after some time on the trail they get your kids 80 calories which will keep them moving right along. The only reason I give these 4 stars instead of 5 is because my kids actually prefer the adult waffles--just a bit bigger and double the calories so it's more of a full snack, rather than a boost when we are out on the trail all day. But when they need something small and quick (before a soccer game or track meet) these kids waffles are the perfect size. (and for smaller children these are seriously PERFECT)

We put a lot of miles on our kids and I've learned the secret to keeping them happy when we are out on the trail all day long is to keep them well hydrated, well fed, and rotate snacks so they don't get bored. Honey Stinger Waffles and Chews are in our regular rotation with fruits, nuts, and jerky. We LOVE the Honey Stinger Kids' Chews so check my review out over there.

    Anna loves 'em!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Thank you to and Honey Stinger for hand-selecting me to review this yummy product for the benefit of the community.

Honey Stinger makes energy foods using natural ingredients and based on honey. In this case, we're talking about two waffles (similar to the stroopwafel found in Europe) with honey sandwiched in-between.

I had the opportunity to share this product with at least a dozen people ranging in ages from 2 to 42. For the most part, the really young ones from didn't care much for the waffle. The Adults were split between it being good and being super delicious. The kids older than 5 all seemed to really enjoy this organic treat.

My daughter is 8 years old. She absolutely loves these honey waffles. The first time Anna tried these was just after a soccer game. She had never had anything like them before and loved her first bite. She immediately gave her approval and asked what they were. Over the next few weeks, we took the remaining waffles hiking to Goblin Valley in Utah's southern desert, Jeeping with friends, and even on Anna's first canyoneering trip. What a fun and enjoyable snack for all such outings. Anna was bummed when we finally finished them. She is now waiting for me to get some more.

For Anna, I will buy these again for sure. Based on my 2 year old's reaction ...I'll get him something else. Please note that he is picky. Imagine that ...a picky 2 year old. The size is perfect for a snack on the go. The individual packaging makes them easy to pack, carry and break one out when needed.

The product is organic and the company history is nice. They were basically ahead of their time for making energy food back in the 1950's. It just took a little time for us all to realize that we wanted energy food ...especially natural honey-based energy food.

4 stars because Van (my little boy) didn't fall in love like Anna. None-the-less, most reviews were in favor. 5 Stars from Anna. Great product.

    Anna loves 'em!

No need to waffle - Honey Stinger rocks

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

To the relief of most of my family, my children have taken after my wife. This also turns out to be quite a boon for you, the community, as and Honey Stinger were wise enough to bypass me and ask my children to review the Honey Stinger?s Kids? Organic Waffles (honey) and Kids? Organic Chews for the benefit of the community (See what I did there? Yep - product plug. But just in case you missed it I will be even more outright - go check out my review of Honey Stinger Kids? Organic Chews).

Honey Stinger Organic Waffles have a lot going for themselves; organic, NO high fructose corn syrup, cool back story about beekeeper Ralph Gamber and his wife Luella. But let?s BEE honest, the main quality I look for in kids food is whether or not it can quiet my kid's complaints of being hungry and thus prolong our time outdoors. A recent after work boulder session proved that Honey Stinger is up to the task.

I am a graduate student, but I am also a pseudo-stay at home parent of three - so needless to say, I stay busy. Despite all this though, my wife and I place a high priority on spending time outdoors as a family. This means quick family hikes or rushed bouldering sessions after school are the norm. Packing healthy, "good", food can be tricky though. Thankfully Honey Stinger fits the bill. Limited amounts of sugar, good serving sizes, and great taste makes them an optimal "treat". "Treat" definitely being the key word. Why? Cuz when you tell kids they are getting "treats" they stay quiet and happy while you squeak out a few extra laps at the local crag.

In this particular instance the Honey Stinger waffles were perfect for our 10 month old while my wife and I put in a few laps on some of our favorite boulder problems. The best part about these tasty treats is that teeth are not needed, good for babies and rednecks (I can say that - I'm from Wyoming!). What kept the older kids happy? Check out the Honey Stinger Organic Chews for tips there.

No need to waffle - Honey Stinger rocks

    One cute little waffle...

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This was our first time trying the Honey Stinger Kids' Organic Waffle, in the Honey flavor. First of all, I must say, they are a cute little "cookie". They are thin and wafer like with the sweet honey flavor sandwiched in between. A little bit on the crumbly side but that didn't matter too much to me. I like the fact there are no preservatives, artificial flavors or high fructose corn syrup. Plus, at 80 calories a waffle, you can't beat that!

Now, to put the true test to my willing little tasters. With three kids, two gave it a thumbs up and one, a thumbs down. The two thumbs up liked it because it is essentially a little cookie. Anything that says cookie= smiling little kids. The one thumbs down really was thinking it was going to be more like a true waffle. His taste buds are a little bit pickier than most however I can see why he would say that. It is sweeter than most waffles and unfortunately, not quite as filling. After explaining this was more of a go to, energy snack, he got the point, but in the end still wanted his waffles.

We will definitely try these again. May be the Chocolate flavor will win my skeptic over!

Thank you to Backcountry and Honey Stinger for giving us the opportunity to try out these yummy products. I love the company's goal "to provide great tasting, honey-based energy foods made with natural ingredients". Who wouldn't want that for themselves or their family.

    One cute little waffle...

    Perfect Size for Me!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm a huge fan of the traditional honey stingers, but didn't always want the entire waffle pre-working out. These are the perfect size for me!

Doesn't say in the description, but you get 6 in the box.

Thanks for the callout on quantity per box! It's also worth noting that these are 80 calories per waffle (the 160 in the description is f or the "full-size" waffles)

I also find these are a nice size during a ride, and a great change of pace from gels and blocks!
