Billed as the first gluten-free waffle offering for endurance sports, the Gluten Free Waffles bring Honey Stinger's delicious flavor profiles and waffle-patterned goodness to a gluten-free package for riders who can't process gluten or those who are just looking for more waffle options in addition to the standard, gluten-based fare.

Honey Stinger's Waffles are created just for endurance athletes, not merely as a tasty morning snack. They're packaged in convenient single-serving units that tuck easily into a jersey pocket for that moment at the three hour mark when you'd like to eat something with a bit of substance. The Stinger Waffles are simultaneously crunchy and chewy as you eat them. And unlike bizarre lab-born products, the natural ingredients in the Waffles chew easily and go down quickly.

Like their other energy foods, the Honey Stinger Waffles rely on honey, nature's energy food, for a majority of the carbohydrate load. Honey's blend of fructose and glucose is easily digested and acts quickly to give you a burst of energy, and it's backed up with a gluten free flour blend along with organic cane sugar and rice syrup.

Honey Stinger's Gluten Free Waffles are packaged in a box of 16 individually wrapped waffles.

    Waffles For Days

As my review title might indicate, I literally eat one to two of these every day.

After I get off work, I generally lack motivation to hit the gym, and I'm tired and hungry. To try and cope with these third world issues, I began telling myself that every day after work, I could eat a delicious waffle treat on my way to the gym. (Maybe it's like candy at the doctor's office. I don't know why it works, partially because I'm a child, partially because these are the most delicious things on the planet).

Well, now I don't miss a gym day.

If gym = waffles, count me in. It's just simple math.

      Great source of nutrition!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Calorie intake is a big part of a successful triathlon nutrition plan and gels dominate most conversations. While gels serve their purpose, its always nice to consume something solid. I started using Stinger Waffles during training rides a couple years ago and have maintained a constant supply ever since. They are now my go-to for transition nutrition. I typically keep one or two at transition for all my races. While there may be quicker ways to take in calories, it's always nice to eat something solid and feel comfortable knowing it wont cause distress down the road.

      my fav food

have to say these are my favorite pre packaged food. We use them for hiking, cycling, anything. They are a little crumbly just like the original version but thats the only downfall to them. they really do taste good and are super easy to pack in a jersey pocket or hydration pack.

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This was my first foray into the Gluten Free Waffles from Honey Stinger. I purchased the Cinamon and they taste great. They seem to have a little softer texture than the regular Honey Stinger Waffles.
These are easy to eat while on the bike and are easy on the GI system. Highly recommend them when you need a quick sugary burst of energy.

        Tasty time

I'm a big fan of Honey Stinger waffles, but I've been gluten-free for a year and made the switch over to the Pink Lemonade chews for my mountain bike trail food. Now that they've got gluten-free waffles I wanted to do a taste test and see if they're just as good as the old ones.

        Ride on!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have been using Honey Stinger waffles for quite some time and have always been happy with them! Whether you are riding, running, hiking, these deliver exactly what you need. For a gluten free option, these are very tasty! Enjoy!

I love gluten and I usually repulse in disgust when I see the 'gluten free' label on food or beer. But I have to admit, the gluten free version of Honey Stinger waffles taste better than the already awesome gluten versions. Besides tasting even better, the gluten free versions have a softer texture, which is appreciated on long rides.

        good fuel

gave it 5 stars but thats because it works as advertised. taste is, well, ok at best...i think the term "waffle" is kinda misleading...aint no ihop waffle, thats for sure. then again, they work and i will definitely continue to bring a couple of these on longer rides...

        Can it get better

I have discovered the cinnamon flavor - Wahoo! The only down side that I have found is that these are amazing with my coffee in the morning. Don't buy just one box, they disappear quickly!

        Happy Dance!

I haven't been able to eat the original waffles in several years, these are a little slice of heaven! My husband claims that the gluten free are better than the the wheat version. The Maple is tasty!

        sooo good

if you want some good energy, then you need to pick up a few of these. the flavors are really good, and you wont cringe every time you go to eat one on you bike ride.
