Hoka's a running company, after all, and it built the Tor with its signature late-stage Meta Rocker to provide an efficient foot roll and a smooth stride, and it gave the Tor a four millimeter drop that helps you move forward comfortably, no matter how you're doing it. The RMAT and EVA midsole balances comfort and cushioning, and the Ortholite insole provides a supportive layer to save your feet on tough climbs, loose descents, and occasional downhill sprints. Hoka also ran the laces all the way down to the toe, climbing shoe style, and finished the Tor off with a Vibram MegaGrip rubber sole for unbeatable traction on dusty, loose, wet, and rocky trails.
