    Trails don't stand a chance.

Designed to hit the trails, the Hoka One One Women's Stinson 3 ATR Trail Running Shoes offer maximum cushioning and solid stability when you're running over rocky terrain. The no-sew SpeedFrame upper's streamlined design gets rid of unnecessary weight to help you hop over rocks and fallen trees, while the ComfortFrame at the heel and midfoot improves your fit and keeps everything in place through the ups and downs of the trail. Late stage meta-rocker geometry paired with an external heel counter ensures a soft foot strike and improved gait cycle to reduce pain and fatigue, letting you focus on the path ahead. The compression-molded EVA midsole eats up stony ground as the 3mm ATR traction lug-outfitted high-abrasion rubber outsole provides a firm footing on any slick surfaces.

    Dangerous to ankles!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

On my third trail run in these shoes, and still not feeling used to them, I rolled my ankle in them and thought it was a sprain. Turned out I fractured my distal fibula! To be fair I may have rolled my ankle in any shoe since I caught the edge of a rock with my heel, but, I'm not sure I would have broken my ankle in any shoe. The height of these shoes seem dangerous to me for trails, and while the cushion feels great on my knees, I felt I lost the feel of the trail. I'm very disappointed, and unfortunately am off activities for a month.

My experience has been just opposite. I have tried several brands for trail running in the past: Reebok, New Balance, ASIC. Had a few ankle rolls, none with injury. Haven't had any since wearing Hoka One One Stinson 3 ATR (+6 months, run 6 days/wk).

    Good For Plantar Faciitis

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 7B

Was diagnosed with Plantar Faciitis and then fitted by professional sports folks for Hoka One One Stinson 3. Had been wearing New Balance and was unable to run at all, and couldn't walk the 4 miles/daily I had been. Started PF exercises and resumed walking with Hokas. Am adding more running each week. Hokas are sturdy and obviously providing support needed for PF. Recommend them.

    Satisfied

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 10

These were my first 'real' running shoes. I was matched to these at a local running shop and found them at a steal here! I love them! They are stable, supportive, and comfortable. The sole has soo much cushion. I used these for my first half and it was a great experience. I have plenty of room and find they fit true to size for me. They are the perfect 'all terrain' shoe. My only complaint is I wish they were a bit lighter and breathed more.

Great if you only have 4 toes!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 9.5

I am so disappointed in the small toe box on these shoes. I really love the feel under my feet with the cushioning as I stand all day at work and need this feature, yet my pinky toes were squished beyond recognition while wearing these shoes. Really, they need to fix this issue!!!!!

    Best I Ever Bought

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 9

These Hoka One Ones are my dream finally realized. The sole is the star of the day, with thick, luxurious density perfect for comfort yet enough for superior support. The insole provides support at the arch and softness surrounds my foot like a cloud. I can walk all day with no aches or friction or discomfort - with my ancient feet, quite an accomplishment! I've come back a second and a third time to buy another pair and can't sing their praises enough...I give them 10 stars!

    Love these!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large

I bought a pair of Hoka Bondis and loved it on the treadmill (It was the first pair of shoes where I thought "Sure, lets do one more mile" on a treadmill). Hokas are VERY light weight. When I saw these, I figured I would give it a try as a trail shoe. These are so light weight and easy to run in! They are a bit narrower than the Bondis I have, but not a deal breaker for me. I personally think that Hokas run about a half size too big - I would go to a store to try on a pair if you can before you commit to buying. I generally wear a size 9 in regular day-to day shoes, but in my Brooks Adrenalines I wear a size 10 (due to feet swelling when you're running several miles). Both of my Hokas have been size 9.5. I love the pink color so when I saw "Hoka", "Pink" and "Sale", I jumped on the deal and love them!
