We're thankful that gloomy skies keep the gloomy cyclists indoors. No matter how cold or wet it is, we're happy to share the road with the dedicated and passionate people who love to ride. So, if you refuse to let Mother Nature dictate your training schedule, we recommend the Hincapie Sportswear Tour LTX Women's Jacket. Combining an anatomic design with warming, weather-resistant materials, the Tour LTX Jacket will have you rolling cozily through the winter.

To make the Tour LTX a versatile jacket across various weather conditions, Hincapie had to strike a balance in the materials used for construction. So, drawing on experience, it used a sophisticated blend of Advanced LTX Wind Repel, RegulatorTek with ThermoCool, and TempoMesh. We understand that this sounds like a collection of gibberish, more in tune with an owner's manual than a jacket, and granted, what's really important is what they do. For example, Advanced LTX bears the namesake of the jacket for a reason. Using a four-way stretch polyester, Hincapie incorporated the fabric because of its ability to conform to the shape and movement of the body. It also doesn't hurt that help that the fabric is wind-resistant and has been given hydrophyllic and hydrophobic treatments, either. What does this mean? Well, the hydrophyllic treatment has been applied to the lining of the jacket to wick moisture away from the body, while the hydrophobic treatment repels water from the outside of jacket.

On the issue of comfort, Hincapie has used a micro-sanded interior finish to ensure a soft-to-the-touch contact with the skin. Furthermore, the jacket's ThermoCool yarn keeps a consistent internal temperature. The yarn adapts to your core temperature by both buffering and evaporating moisture. For ventilation, the TempoMesh inserts throughout the jacket let hot air escape without letting in cold air. Additionally, this fabric has been strategically placed to provide stretch in heavy articulation areas.

For complete protection from the elements, Hincapie included a tall, weather-resistant collar as well as protective hems and wrist cuffs. To secure and transport your valuables and ride essentials, the jacket includes two rear cargo pockets and a zippered and welded chest pocket. Hincapie has also integrated reflective accents throughout the jacket for a touch of added visibility in low-light conditions.

The Hincapie Sportswear Tour LTX Women's Jacket is available in the colors Black and Topaz and in five sizes from X-Small to X-Large.

Runs tall.

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I'm 5'2" and busty so I got the large for extra room to layer under this jacket. It would have worked in the chest and waist but the arm length was way way to long, like a kid putting on there dads jacket, same goes for the length. This jacket was so long I could probably wrap it around under the seat of my road bike, and the zipper makes the neck very stiff and seeing as it was way to long it was also way to high in the neck which shoved the zipper end right in your throat. I would imagine you would have to be at least 5'8" tall to wear the large. It looks nice, pretty thin tho- not sure how much wind or rain its gonna stop cause it doesn't feel like much. I cannot attest to how it performs on the bike as I didn't road test it.
