Not fitted; loose and baggy at stomach

Okay, the two previous reviews were conflicting about the fit. I just received this jacket and I agree with the first review that says the jacket is not fitted. It is loose and baggy around the stomach. There are several photos of a guy wearing it on the Bike Rumor site when they reviewed it and you can see the bagginess of the jacket around the stomach. In person, I had the same experience. It is more fitted around the chest and shoulders but baggier below that. I prefer a more fitted jacket than this. I am 5'8" and around 158 lbs with a 38" chest, and I ordered a medium. I think a size small might be slightly better but not much because I just don't think this jacket is made to be fitted the way I prefer. It is otherwise a nice jacket made with quality materials beside the loose fit.

Great lightweight jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

I have to disagree with the previous review. I am 5'11 and 140, with a 37" chest-- long and lean-- and customer service suggested I order a small. Right on! The arms are actually long enough, which is usually my issue in a small. Yes, the body is on the short side for me, but still ok, especially in riding position. It is quite form fitting, which is what I wanted, while still leaving enough room for a jersey. The fabric has a lot of give and stretch, so being tight across the shoulders is no issue. I suggest going with your chest measurement when choosing a size, and look at the sizing chart here--small is up to a 38" chest, which seems larger than usual. FYI, I measued the zipper at 22" tip to tip. I love the fit and feel of this jacket, and it is very light and packable. Just what I wanted, and a steal if you want a small in charcoal.
There is a good review of this jacket at bikeradar.com, 4/5 stars. http://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/category/clothing/jackets/product/review-hincapie-tour-ltx-jacket-12-46607

Not a Good Fit

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

The fit on this jacket is too wide. I really didn't like it at all. It looks like it will be warm but I like to wear fitting things and this is not like that.
