But they’re really for biking.

If you see a mime on the street wearing the Hincapie Sportswear Performer Cycling Bib Short, you might want to tell him that he’s kinda wasting the H.A.P. Chamois’s shock-absorbing padding. Unless someone comes up and kicks him in the nuts. And, come to think of it, the chamois’ heat-dissipating and moisture-wicking features are probably being put to good use. It’s also true that the reflective trims on the front and back of this bib short might attract more people once the sun sets.

Great bibs

I'm an admitted Hincapie junkie, so take this for what it's worth. It seems that the Hincapie line is designed with a bias towards taller riders (like George himself, which makes sense to me). As a 6'2" clydesdale, I fit right in with that bias. This is my second pair of Hincapie bibs, and I'd be shocked if there's another brand out there that offers the same quality for this pricing. Great fit, and the chamois strikes the right balance between non-existent and diaper-like. I've done several metric centuries in the Piedmont of the Appalachians, and have had zero problems. Would definitely buy these again.

Pretty good for the money.

I had Hincapie custom bibs (after riding with a team) which were extremely comfortable and these, while not exactly the same in cut, are very similar in comfort. A good bargain at < $100 and solidly constructed.
