Description

Rule the peloton in 2012.

Led by their determined Aussie leader, the BMC Racing Team rode the French mountains and plains of the 2011 Tour with a commanding efficacy and a hardened resolve to deliver him to the top slot on the podium. And on their backs every step of the way? The Hincapie Gran Premio Jersey. Differing only in graphic, the Gran Premio utilizes the exact same dimpled, drag-reducing TourTek fabric, Accelerator stretch mesh panels in the sides and back, and the same slimming aerodynamic fit as the instantly recognizable team-issue kit. From the back to the front of the peloton, three generous rear pockets provide ample room to stash jackets, water bottles, ice packs, or anything else you may need on your grueling whirlwind trip across France.

not for hot weather

start with the good things first. very well build, great fit, side vents, full zipper.bad things, this is the first cycling jersey i have ever been able to wring sweat from. the material doesnt allow the sweat to evaporate. its like wearing cotton. even in not too hot weather 85 with a heat index of 92 the jersey was dripping. this jersey is not for hot humid weather.

not for hot weather

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

this is the first cycling jersey i have ever owned where i could wring sweat from it. its almost like wearing cotton. everytihng in my rear pockets were wet, my first ride with this jersey wasnt even that hot 85 with a 92 heat index. the quality is very good. great full zipper and mesh panels and very good fit. if you ride in a dry not too hot place this would be a good jersey. if you live in the south this is not a summer jersey.

Breathe's well!

Fabric breathes really well and is comfortable. It might be a little too stuffy on a really hot day for some people. Size runs a little big so you need to adjust for a size down from what you normally wear.

great 'gran premio' jersey

Love this jersey! It will be hard to go back to other jerseys. Fits like a glove without constricting. Like the way Hincapie gear edges the sleeves and legs - it does not pull on the skin while fitting snug. I thought it would be too warm in hot weather, but on a 100 degree day it was great(Colorado MS 150). I did not notice it, which is how bike gear should be. Been through the wash a few times and it holds up well. It is doing good duty in the mountains. I wear a large - former rugby player, now distance road cyclist. 6'2" - 205 lbs. 42" chest. Combines well with the bib-shorts of the same name.
