Winter never stood a chance.
Hincapie designed its new Arenberg Bib Tights to be your go-to lower body layer when the temperatures begin to drop. They were constructed using a blend of Hincapie's latest innovative materials to keep you warm, dry, and comfortable while outside spinning away through the year's coldest months.
The Arenbergs were constructed using panels of Hincapie's BodE Thermal Loft fabric. This is a supple, four-way stretch knit material with a lofted fleece backing. Hincapie developed this fabric to be light and flexible, and also to ensure that your body remains insulated and protected from the elements. The BodE Thermal Loft fabric is a nylon and Lycra blend, which, in addition to providing a lightly compressive hold on your leg muscles, also works to wick moisture away from your skin. The bib straps extend up to comfortably wrap and support your torso, providing both a secure hold and additional warmth under your core layers.
The Hincapie Power chamois was chosen for the Arenberg bib tights, as this four-way stretch insert follows the contours of your body and moves with you. This design eliminates chafing, reduces friction, and absorbs road vibrations. The insert was constructed with a soft, Elastic Interface Technology (E.I.T.) microfiber fabric layered over perforated, variable-density foam inserts. This design works to help dissipate heat and moisture away from the skin, while perineal relief channels and extended chamois coverage provide maximum comfort.
Finishing details include auto-locking zippered leg openings, a front fly zipper, and reflective treatments for increased visibility to motorists in low-light riding conditions.
The Hincapie Arenberg Bib Tights are available in the color Black and in five sizes from Small to XX-Large.

Application: Cold weather bib tights. Best for 38-50* days.
These Arenberg tights are made from a thick, stretch Lycra material with a fleeced interior. These are awesome mid-weight bib longs. Love the zipper in front (ease entry/exit). Hincapie gear is designed by George Hincapie - a pro rider and legend who rode in the TdF 17 times. It shows. Nice design details.
Quality of manufacture: The sewing and seams on these Arenberg tights are perfect. I have found uniformly excellent quality and QC in all the Hincapie gear that I own.
P.S. -"Arenberg" refers to one of the most famous sections of the often cold Paris-Roubaix bike race. Hincapie rode to 7 top-ten finishes at Paris-Roubaix!
Warm & comfy, but...
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I've always loved Hincapie clothing. Quality stuff, and absolutely my favorite winter wear. The tailoring of this particular pair of tights seems unusual in that the ankles are sort of fat. I don't think I have unusually skinny ankles, but the cuffs on these tights are loose, which is distracting because they flap a little in the wind and let cool air in. Other than that, they're perfect.
