You don't need to stop running your favorite trails during winter when Hillsound's Trail Crampon Ultra assures traction on icy, hard-packed snow. This superlight crampon uses small, stainless steel spikes to prevent slipping when you're sprinting over black ice and other slippery terrain. The elastomer harness ensures a secure fit that still allows the same mobility you're used to. Hillsound added a hook-and-loop strap to keep the fit secure from mile one to infinity.

Great spikes!
Excellent. Not sure how it could be any better - great grip, great fit and seem very durable. Size 10.5 new. Balance trail runners - size M spikes fit perfectly/snug.

Excellent microspikes!
We have many different types of cleats for the icy weather we have in Northeast PA. These microspikes are the best for severe conditions. Plus, their stainless steel construction is hands down the best of all we have. Highly recommend!

Nice Product
I wore these twice while running in ice/snow and they worked very well. If I had one suggestion, I would like a longer - more prominent "tab" on the heel to make pulling them on a little easier.

Not what I expected
I ordered the ultra crampons, assuming the “teeth” would be long and have a better grip than the base version on my current Katoolas. Unfortunately neither was true despite the higher price tag.

Quality Control
This product is an excellent source of traction easy to use BUT the quality has taken a back seat! I have been using these products for a number of years and have had great luck with till the last 2 years. The I have ordered a set for last years season and almost made the winter season and the toe strap let go broke through the rubber as in picture supplied. Then I ordered a new pair a month ago and got 10 days out of them and the chain that holds the cleat in place snapped also in pic supplied. I feel quality has taken a back seat and that's unfortunate as I would even pay a little more for something that would last as we do not hike on clouds they need to be quilt with better quality as this is supposed to be trail rated and the highest quality they sell.

Open Eyelet Warning
Just a warning to those who use these crampons for hiking. Ensure that any open eyelets on your boots/shoes are covered. This will prevent the crampon chain links from inadvertently hooking into an open eyelet and forcing a face plant onto the trail. This happened to me at least 3 X during a hike in the snow/ice. Luckily I wasn't on a dangerous part of the trail, otherwise, some serious injuries could have occurred. I immediately hammered my eyelets closed on my boots. Otherwise, great crampons for winter hiking.

Trail Crampon Ultra
This is my second pair. I miss placed or lost my first pair. So, with that being said these are part of my gear that I would not go without. It's nice having that reassurance when hiking on step snowy slopes that I have that extra traction.
