Hard days in the backcountry require heavy-duty gear that you can absolutely rely on. The Hestra Soft Shell Short Glove uses very breathable fabric on the backhand to keep your hands from overheating as you hike, and ultra-durable goat leather up front to handle the heavy stuff. A waterproof insert sees to it that water doesn\222t find its way in, and Thermolite insulation holds the heat when the mercury takes a dive for the worse.

Bottom Line: Gloves to rely on.

Hestra Quality

This is a good glove, no doubt about it. Very high quality and the finish is superb. They have quite a bit of dexterity. However, I don't find them to be very warm. I tend to get pretty cold fingers regardless of layering/activity so take that with a grain of salt. I really like leash, very functional. I am in a size 9 and they are dead on. Honestly wish I had sized up to encourage more circulation and the ability to add a liner.

These are my first Hestra glove and I've been very happy with them. The soft shell glove breathes very well as I often find myself touring with them on while many others are gloveless. Used them down to about zero which they got a little cold, just had to keep moving the hands a little and they were fine. Would get them again.

Solid

Theses are great gloves, warm, waterproof, stylish. The leash is awesome, and the leather palms feel super solid, also great dexterity. I can easily transition my splitboard from ski to ride mode while wearing these gloves.

Only complaints, cuff is designed go under the sleeves of your jacket rather than over, and the velcro section gets snow in it, would have made more sense to put it on top, rather than below.

Good glove

So far, i really like these glove. The lowest temperature i have worn them in is about 15 degrees and my fingers got a little cold. I then added liners and my fingers were warmer but that made the gloves a little tight.

Without liners, these gloves fit true to size and at first, i did not like the "leashes" but have learned to love this feature.
