If you're tired of icy fingers and wasting your money on heat packs, try the Hestra Heater Glove and trust that 75-years of glove making as well as an integrated electronic heater can do the trick. Totally snow-proof and handmade with the best materials, this glove beats out all other gloves before you even turn on its internal heater. But once you do, the heating element warms your fingers quickly, thanks to three levels of adjustable warmth, easy-to-use controls located on the back of the hand, and rechargeable batteries.

  • Triton, Flextron, and leather outer shell features a CZone membrane for flexible, waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection from the elements
  • Quallofil insulation retains heat whether the heater is on or off
  • Polyester lining adds comfort and aids moisture management while skiing hard
  • Cowhide palm increases durability and tactile sensitivity while pre-shaped fingers don't need to be broken in before use
  • The drawstring gauntlet and hook-and-loop wrist strap ensure no snow gets inside
  • Battery pocket conveniently stashes your power source

Bottom Line: If your fingers are still cold, check your pulse.

My hands have never been warmer! Went out on a rare 20 degree morning (at least this year) and my hands didn't get cold once!

Heater Gloves? No. 3-finger? Yes.

By:

I bought the Hestra Heater Gloves two years ago. I bought them after having a GREAT experience with the heli-3 finger glove, which I simply loved. However, they wore out (the liner) after four years. (I wasn't aware I could go on the Hestra website and order a new liner, but I will). The outer shell is worn but still in great shape!
Anyhooo-I had received slight frost bite in two of my fingers on my right hand years ago and this was my concern. I'm a ski host at Snow Bird and I'm out in the cold for the better part of 8 hours on the days I host. I appreciate gear that works and exceeds my expectations, especially when it comes to warmth. I bought these heated gloves, predicated on the performance of the 3-finger, which was awesome.
Last year, the first year I used them, they worked good enough. I was disappointed in the battery life- and I was aware of using them on the lowest setting for as long as I could, then bumping them up when needed, etc- as the directions recommend. They did work pretty well, but for the price, eh, I was okay with them. However, this year? Well, they just don't work as well. I would not buy these. However, I WOULD buy the three finger and use the money saved for adult beverages after your ski day is done.
A few minutes ago I ordered the Hestra Army glove and I'm excited to try them out. If they are as good as the 3-finger glove, I'll be more than happy with their performance. And as I said, I'm ordering a new 3 finger glove liner so I'll hopefully have 2 Hestra products I'm excited about using. I will be taking back these Heater Gloves when I'm on the Backcountry side of town (live in Sandy Ut). I feel these aren't a true representation of the quality or reliability Hestra provides.

DO NOT BUY - WASTE OF MONEY

These gloves simply suck. I don't feel much heat at all, even on the highest setting (which supposedly is for emergencies and can burn your hands). To feel anything, you have to flex your hands so that your fingers are in contact with the top of the glove (where the "heat" is). My first day using them, I had to ball my hands up on the chairlift because of how cold my fingers were, even when the gloves were set on the highest setting. I am perplexed at the price of such a low quality glove. For a warmer option, you're better off going with a standard mitten with regular hand warmers. I will be returning these gloves momentarily. Very disappointed.

Awesome

These gloves are fantastic. The construction is excellent and they're fairly warm on their own but with the heater turned on they are incredible. It's amazing how much better your whole body feels when your hands aren't frozen. When on the first or second setting there isn't a sensation of warmth, more like your hands are just comfortable, neutral, like you're comfortably indoors with no gloves on at all. With the 3rd setting they bring the heat, no mistaking these gloves are heated. Worth the investment.

Warm Hands

By: Backcountry.com Employee
January 27, 2012

I got these gloves for my dad for Christmas. He's an avid skier and suffers from Raynaud's phenomenon. The gloves are very well made, and are keeping his fingers warm which is more than I can say for some really nice mittens. The gloves are rather heavy with the battery, but are a worthwhile tradeoff for being warm and happy out skiing.

I can actually tell they work and I've used them multiple times so far without problem. So far so good.
