Why We Like The Hestra Fall Line Glove

Burly yet streamlined, the Hestra Fall Line Glove resists wear and weather without the bulk. The soft brushed interior feels soothing against our skin, while the resilient foam insulation gives our hands reliable wet-weather warmth. Awesome glove!

Very comfortable and well made. Not ideal for those extreme cold ski days, but a glove liner remedies that.

Best Gloves, and very warm!

Agree with these being VERY warm. Honestly, for me, they are too warm. When i bring these touring, I only put them on when things get real cold, otherwise I will end up sweating - and I'm not talking about touring up in them, that's only when I'm at the top or on the ridge. I wouldn't consider myself having "hot hands" - I usually do okay. I think it's notable that if you do find yourself having issues with cold hands, you should probably elect to use mittens.

Contrary to other reviews, they ARE warm! It is always VERY subjective on “keeping hands warm” and people blame the gloves. Well, I usually get cold hands due to poor circulation, so I wear mittens. I was extremely skeptical buying these, especially with this price point. A buddy said he’d buy them from me for $15 off original if they didn’t work for me. Well, he bugged me for a long time after because these worked great. Just finished skiing a week in Park City where temps dipped near zero with wind chill, and hands were fine. Even on the lift with wind gusts at 35mph that blew the lift to a stop as we got off at the top. Dexterity is great, looks great too. Love these things almost more than I love my dog. Only downside is that after I loaned them to a buddy who forgot his gloves, he packed them out bad - was wearing liner gloves that were too thick and kept jamming his hands in. They’re still ok, but the wool lining is just a bit thinner now. Buy them with a discount code and it’s an even better deal.

Agree with the Not Warm assessment

Nicely made glove... that does not keep your hands warm. Really isn't that the point? I have seen these gloves highly rated everywhere and it baffles me. I was in a ski shop in Tahoe with my buddy after having just told him that my Hestras don't keep my hands warm. He was looking at the Hestra display and was approached by a ski shop employee who started singing Hestra's praises. My buddy said "do they keep your hands warm?" and the guy was like "well, no, they're more for like the spring, and if you run hot like most of us do, it's not problem." What? I run extremely hot, and that has nothing to do with my hands. These won't keep your hands warm in even slightly cool temps never mind single digits.

Not warm

Nice looking gloves but I have used twice in cold weather and my hands were freezing compared to other gloves.

I have been using Hestra fall line two winters and so far no complaints. They feel good, keep my hands warm and after two winters still look mint. I would recommend it to skiers.

Skiing at ~32 my hands were freezing. These are not good for skiing and the warranty won't be respected unless there is damage.
