If you're looking for a stable sit-on-top kayak for paddling and sunning on the lake, check out the Heritage Kayaks RedFish 12 Kayak. This sit-on-top kayak's stable design makes it easy to hop in and out of, so you can anchor the RedFish and slip off to do some snorkeling. The stern tankwell holds a cooler or your snorkel fins and gear, while a bow hatch provides dry storage for snacks and a guide book. Unlike many sit-on-top kayaks, the Redfish twelve-foot Kayak has padded seating, so your butt and back won't mutiny after a full day of paddling.

So far ... Me LIKEY!

    First yak ... ever. From what I can tell, quality is great. Shipping info could have been a tad better ... but it got here fine. Read and searched for months trying to make up my mind for a decent yak without spending a fortune and finally selected the Redfish 12 due to reviews from the web. Bought two (one for the wife) and (though we've only been out on them twice) we're pretty proud of them. It was pretty windy today and we finally got a chance to fish when we hit the downwind shore. BUY ANCHORS!!
    (A little awkward for one person to carry ... so plan on two ... or a decent cart)

    Can't Go Wrong

      I have a Redfish 12 and fish from it at least 5 times a month.
      It is a great Kayak. It's very stable, easy to paddle, fantastic to Bass fish from.

      I'm 6 ft tall and weigh 190 I have no problem lifting the kayak on and off my PU truck racks.
      The finish on all Heritage kayaks is first class.
      I have a Redfish 10 ordered for my wife, that is how pleased I am with Heritage products.

      Buy it , you will be glad you did!

      Redfish =Stablity and Tracking

        If you are looking for a first boat that is stable and tracks better than most. This is it. The Redfish is wide enough that I can get in and out in the water and from the Dock. I fish a lot and the sides of this boat are smooth against your legs. I can alsmost stand up in the boat, but takes more balance. This is a good kayak to learn it and can handle most boat wakes and cust right throught wind chop. The 10 is the smallest and lightest (easy for one person to load) and fine for padlers under about 160 lbs. The 12 is in the middle size for most and is a great all around paddling bota. For the larger paddler, or if you want to take a lot of gear on big open water (bays, large lakes, Ocean) check out the 14 footer.

        Redfish 12' Kayak

          I was going to get a cockpit type, tried some, then went to the this sit on top with the nice seat. Very comfortable and very easy to paddle. Loved it, bought it and now spend hours paddling. No problem.
