A gossamer nylon shell, lightweight PrimaLoft insulation, and trim, anatomical fit make the Helly Hansen Men's Odin Isolator Jacket the midlayer for hardcore alpinists. Helly Hansen designed the Isolator Jacket to work in concert with their Odin technical alpine collection, supplementing the advanced shell armor in cold temperatures with packable, efficient synthetic loft—but the Isolator works admirably on its own as a low-bulk, windproof frost-beater on icy dawn patrols, or under your favorite hardshell for sub-zero forest forays. Helly Hansen's LIFA polypropylene lines the pockets, keeping your mitts warm and dry when you're gripped.

We all love the nice feel of an insulating piece right? Something compressable so it fits easily in your pack, but can be whipped out and thrown on after a sweaty skin or boot pack? Well this Odin Insulator is the unit for you. Not only do I carry this with me on all my ski mountaineering endeavors because it provides the perfect amount of warmth under my shell, but I also throw it on over a t-shirt in the fall or spring when I'm headed to the gym or coffee-shop.
You know you are wearing something cool when people come up to you asking where you got it or who makes it. This jacket rocks.

What it lacks in warmth it makes up in style . . . really a cool jacket. Before this jacket I had a Mountain Hardwear primaloft jacket witch was toasty warm, this jacket however is not cut for real weather. Trust me. Great for early spring and late fall. The bronze accents and strange material make for a jacket that gets alot of compliments. One guy actually asked if it was Aligator skin, trust me though he wasn't the smartest guy though.
