Odin Baselayer Pant - Men's

Helly Hansen uses superfine merino wool and two LIFA polypropylene fabrics in a panel construction, so the Odin Baselayer Pant looks and performs like none you've ever seen. LIFA T3 Thermic Tube Technology insulates critical knee and groin areas, trapping dead air below a layer of fine merino wool to keep you warm and mobile. Meanwhile, at the thigh and calf of the Odin Pant, ventilating panels of Helly Hansen's LIFA Dry Extreme Mesh wick moisture for the ascent, then retain heat when you rest at the summit. Flat-lock stitching and minimal cuffs keep a low profile under anatomical alpine outerwear.

Bottom Line: The Helly Hansen Odin Pant is extreme conditions baselayer from the company who ought to know.

BETTER THAN ICEBREAKER!!

By:
December 3, 2008

Thats right, I said it! Better than icebreaker! The combination of wool and synthetic actually allows the material to breath better and actually keep you at the perfect warm temperature. I have overheated in Icebreaker pants but not in these! AND THESE ARE WARMER! Amazing tight fit that makes you feel ready for a day of powder or mountaineering...or simply standing at the bus stop! Another great review for Helly Hansen!

Awesome baselayer pants. Very wicked design!!! I have bought the newer Odin top because the original one is only available in XXL only now. I wear a large unfortunately. These pants need to be sold in a large size also as John had asked in previous inquiry. I would purchse a pair so fast, it would be like the "Roadrunner" cartoon.

Hey John. Questions about inventory can tend to languish a while here on the user answer boards. Your best bet will be to click on the "Chat Now" link to get in touch with a BC rep who can answer your questions.

My lovely baselayer

By:

Cool design, enough warm, pleasant to wear. Incredibly breathable baselayer. Skintight underwear allows to feel free during dynamic activity. High breathable rate cover two essential features: Cold stress protection with Heat stress prevention.

Too tight around thighs

By:
December 1, 2010

Never had a chance to test them out. If you have any muscle in your thighs, go larger. I am 5'9" about 165 lbs and the mediums were too tight (and I am skinnier than normal).

I agree. I'm 6-4 and 235ish; Usually wear size L for bottoms based on waist size. I couldn't even pull these up much past my knees. The mesh part does not stretch at all. I'd give the XL a shot but they are currently not available.

look terrible

Whoever thought of these was way off base. They look like a bad outfit to go to a club in. They have fishnet in them. On top of that, it would let out air in the parts you are trying to keep warm by wearing a baselayer. The second I tried them on, I knew they weren't for me. The matching top is even worse. If I wanted air to escape in these places, like my thighs, I would wear no baselayer at all. On line, they look like they might look pretty cool. In real life, they just look and feel stupid

Well these aren't meant to go to the "club" in and the idea is that you have them under some snow pants. And they are meant to keep you war which from the other reviews they do vary well. Another thing don't review something and most definitely don't give something a bad review if you have not used it.
