Ordered these to go along with a HH Mission jacket - following the size chart on BC and HH website, ordered the small, because I'm about a 31" waist (size chart said S = 31-33.5" waist - not true. Needed a medium (which was listed from 33.5-36" waist and fits perfectly). Anyways, well constructed - just to test out the mission jacket/pants, went outside in just boxers and a t-shirt in 20 degree weather on a windy night, completely warm. Cargo pockets are nice for storage and pants look great with the jacket, received lots of compliments already.

I wore these pants along with the Mission jacket for more than 100 days of skiing last season. They got absolutely abused, but stood up to the test. They didn't tear, scratch, or rip and they maintained their water repelling ability.
If you're looking to get pants that will do the job with no worries about them holding up, these fit the bill. Not only that, but the colors pop pretty well, too.
Note: I am a Helly Hansen ambassador, but I approached HH about using their gear because I truly like it.

Used them for the first time opening weekend on a hill in Banff so the snow wasn't great but in the stuff I could manage to find they worked well, kept me very dry, not even damp by going home time. Did a great job of keeping the wind out to, with the sealed zippers I was warm with just long underwear on underneath. Also very comfortable, didn't want to take them off when I got home. Definitely a good gift or purchase for any skier/boarder of any level.
