Shake up your hazy Sundays when you put on the Helly Hansen Charger Short and hike to misty waterfalls. The quick-drying nylon Cordura fabric keeps sweat to a minimum so your legs don’t rub themselves raw as you hike into a gorge filled with the roar of a falling river. Skid down the gravel slope on the seat of the tough Charger’s reinforced seams without ripping an embarrassing hole. At the base, pull your camera out of one of the cargo pockets and snap a soul-quenching shot that gets you through long weeks at the office.

Bottom Line: Use your hiker thighs to reach new heights with the Charger.

odd fit

By:

I think these would be great shorts if they fit well.

I purchased these in my usual size (28). They seamed small at the waist and very small at the thighs and butt. The fit was similar to tights or spandex.

The thighs are just cut way too small for the waist. Like others said, your probably gonna need super skinny legs to enjoy the fit of these shorts.

Nice Shorts But be very careful over the size

By:

I usually wear a 36 pant in all other brands. I brought these based on this and after glancing at the sizing chart. When they arrived the tag said 36 but they fell off me when I put them on! I measured them and they are in fact a 38inch. As I am in Australia I will have to have then altered. My advice is go a size down if you are looking at these shorts.

Nice Material and Length - too tight in the thighs

By:
August 23, 2010

I'm 6'5" and 210lb - I have a 36in waist which the XL fit well, but just below the waist and down is too tight. Hugs my thighs and any movement tightens them up even more. These would work well for someone with thinner legs. The XXL would work for my thighs but would be way too loose on the waist. Sweet shorts but not going to work for my build. The XL KUHL Z Cargo Short however are a perfect fit for me. nice room in the thighs and I just needed to take in 1" on the waist with the built-in belt straps.

Good pair of shorts

By:

I love writing reviews. When i get something great, i let the world know. When i get something bad, i'll shout it out. This pair of shorts is.... just.... a pair of shorts.

I don't regret buying them because i got a great deal on them. Had i paid full price i'd be a little disapointed. They're a solid pair of shorts, there's really nothing wrong with the fit, the material, durability (far as i can see, only had them couple weeks) or style according to my own personal preference. But were i to pay the list price of 65 bucks... i'd expect a Latte dispenser in the pocket, or a euro-dollar money exchanger, or... something....

Buy them if you need a pair of shorts and you find them on sale. You won't be dissapointed, but you won't be wow'd.

BTW, i bought a size 34 waist- i'm 6 foot, average build through midsection and they're quite loose, gotta wear a belt. A previous review said they were tight in the legs, i can imagine that would be true if i didn't have the teeniest little chicken legs you ever saw. So, large through the waist, probably small in the legs. Show off those bulging quads.
