Stinger Disc FR Carbon Road Wheel - Tubular

When aerodynamics trump all other considerations, the HED Stinger Disc FR Carbon wheel is the weapon to meet and exceed all expectations. The longer toroidal bulge makes the Stinger much more aerodynamic than even its carbon disc siblings. And, because of the lenticular, rather than flat, sides, the Stinger is much more stable in crosswinds.

You may be wondering what the numbers say about all this. At 14 degrees of yaw, the Stinger has an incredible -90g of drag. In comparison, its sibling, the Jet disc, has 30g, and a conventional spoked wheel has 220g. In layman’s terms, the Stinger saves you an incredible 28 watts over a conventional wheel.

For the greatest aerodynamic advantage, HED recommends you run 22-23mm tires. The freehub body is available with Campagnolo splines or with Shimano/SRAM splines.
