Head Skis USA I Carbon Ski Pole - 2008 BCS

Oh man, I really wanted to love these poles, they are sooooooo light and feel sooooooo good. The reason that they are so light is that there is nothing to them. I was skiing down Snake Dance at Alpy, my second day with the poles, riding the Pontoons on a fresh pow day, nothing could have been better, except... I went to pole plant and my pole drove about 2 feet into the snow! I looked at my pole and the tip was gone! No idea where it went or how it broke. So since only about 4 inches broke off I thought that I could kinda still use it to get down the hill, but within the next two turns the pole broke in half.

I am in the process now of getting my money back from Tramdock.

These poles were so wonderful to hold, so wonderful to swing. It was like having air in my hands and I loved it. I couldn't believe a pole could feel so great. And they were fine for two days. But after it dumped and I stuck one in a deep fluffy mound of snow it snapped off like a dried twig. I was bummed! What can I say... I liked these so much, but I wish they stuck around longer.
