The Featherlok adjustment helps you find just the right paddle length and blade angles to suit your paddle style and permit the most comfortable strokes.
- Featherlok System allows you to make on-the-fly length adjustments and feather angles between 0-90 degrees
- Simply flip the corrosion-resistant lock mechanism, extend the length of the shaft, and lock it back down to get more of the blade in the water without changing your stroke
- Fiberglass shaft is extremely lightweight and forgiving; ideal for novice and intermediate paddlers

Paddle length is a personal preference thing that you will develop with time as you figure out what sort of paddler you are. But there is a general guideline to follow based on your height and the width of the boat you are paddling. It can be found here and is similar for most manufacturers:

This is a first paddle with first kayak for myself and brothers. The best part about it is the adjustable length and feathering. Everyone likes a different length paddle and it works out perfectly for the group. If ordering your first paddle I would recommend this so you don't have to worry about getting your size right. Surprisingly light weight as well. Very happy with this product and service from this site.
