If you're looking for a spray skirt that'll fend off water without making your lower half feel stuffy, grab the Harmony Clearwater TTD Spray Skirt. The Tunnel Tie Down system also gives you quick access to the cockpit of your kayak. Harmony made the Clearwater TTD with a waterproof, polyurethane-coated nylon spray skirt. The Adjustable Tunnel Tie Down works like a tent flap for easy access to the cockpit and for cool venting. The Clearwater TTD comes complete with a mesh deck pocket, adjustable deck stay, and a grab loop for easy-off action.
Bottom Line: Get more than just watershed out of your spray skirt with the Harmony Clearwater TTD.
This is my first skirt for my Tempest 165. I've used it for a little over a year and a half now, and have had only a few issues.
Pros: Fits the boat nicely, the zipper design allows access to the cockpit
Cons: The zipper pocket on the front is very difficult to get into, you'll need to bend the blastic riser piece down everytime you want to use it. This skirt seems a little tall but if you sinch down your pfd it shouldn't move much.
Put this through a few rolls in a succession and it seemed to let a little more water through than I thought it would, but then again I might need neoprene for that!
I would recommend this as a good casual skirt, for mild to moderate paddling conditions.
Bought this skirt for a little recreational kayaking and I am happy with it. bought a Large which fit really tight on my kayak but I made it work. Good pocket for small items. Size is easily adjusted by simply untying a knot in the back and retying it smaller. Never really used the quick release handle in the front, but it is still a pretty cool feature.

Barb, The sizing refers to the size of your cockpit, the tunnel (part that goes around your torso) is cinched in with a drawstring. Your vapor 10 has a cockpit size of 19.5" x 48" according to the manufacturer's website, this means that even the XL is probably going to be too small to fit your cockpit as it is only made to fit up to a 44" long cockpit. It's possible it might stretch far enough due to the fact that the width will fit up to 21"... but I wouldn't hold my breathe. Dig through your options here on Backcountry and see if there is something that will fit your boat, else I would strongly recommend going to sealsskirts and getting one that fits your boat specifically. (size 7.0 according to their charts) I hope this helps!
It's a legit skirt but it isn't fully water proof. Wayer soaks through it in a minute or two and with its design that means your crotch will get damp if there is splashage. But for the price this is a great product.
Hey Ed, the XL goes up to 44 and 21..So it might be a stretch, but you could give 'er a shot..A lil elbow grease should get this to cover that extra inch.
I bought this a few weeks ago and have used it twice since. I absolutely love this skirt....I like the zipper design because I always feel like there are spiders crawling up my legs during the long paddles on the river. Plus, I can access anything I have stored in the cockpit area. The skirt doesn't keep water out 100%, but I would say it does a good 80% which is to me great. I didn't need a super water proof skirt. Definitly recommend!
I put this skirt on a Future Beach Patriot for my recreational paddling. After several trips out I have only a single complaint. The water pools away in the front and back but can end up settling down the sides. I am thinking of adding shoulder straps to keep the water from annoying me on longer trips but would certainly get another Harmony for my next boat!
This was my first spray skirt. I used my cockpit measurements and ordered a Large, which fit my C.D. Breeze very nicely. It goes on and comes off (wet exit) without a fight. I love that it has a zipper (covered+velcro) tunnel so I can get to stuff under the deck (foot levers, water bottle, etc.) and bring my knees up to change leg position.
My only complaint is that as a woman of average height (5'4") in a boat with a slightly elevated deck, the tunnel is so tall I have to pull it up to my armpits to get it into a position where water will not pool around me. Of course, it will not stay up that high without help, so I will be looking for a very short clip-strap to suspend it.
I too put this on a Perception Carolina Airlite 13.5' boat (thanks to Libby). It fits like a glove. Nice features include a stash pocket on the outside, zip access to the cockpit without needing to break the seal, and a tension bar that keeps a concave shape that doesn't allow water to pool on the skirt. I take it out on open ocean, launching and landing in the waves. It's watertight and blows away the basic nylon skirt I was using before.
