I like this paddle because I don't worry about it breaking. Most kayakers are using lightweight, expensive paddles. This works for me, seems like it will last forever even if I push off a rock once in a while, and I think I paid 50 or 60 dollars for it--reasonable. I have a sea kayak and like to go out in rough waves on Lake Michigan.

I bought these for my first Kayak and they've been great. They're lightweight, they seem durable, and they seem very stiff. Overall, they're great for the ocean kayaking I have been doing.

Paddles are working great in the surf. The 44 degree water temps a bit cold in NC, however we needed to surf kayak before my husband leaves for Iraq this week! Thanks for shipping them so promptly!
