  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have the 10' 6 weight Demon Rod with a Hardy DD Reel. It manages fish well and cast great. I have used it on the bank, in the water and on the water. I gives great action for fish from 1 pound to 8 pounds.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Got this on steepandcheap at a significant discount. It has higher quality cork than I was expecting, pretty nice reel seat too. The problem is that the reel seat is pretty short and couldn't fit the 8 wt reel I wanted to use on it, so I had to tape it on for practice casting. However, a smaller 6 wt reel fit on it just fine. I would also not describe this as a truly fast action rod, although it's not a mid flex. I haven't got it out fishing yet, still need to get a reel for it, but seems to perform well enough practice casting in the grass.
