Great hammock, easy to set up. Bug net works great and is reversible if you don't need it. I usually like use the hammock without the bug netting because it's just easier to get in and out of the hammock. Aside from that it's a very comfortable hammock and virtually impossible to fallout, even if you're a restless sleeper. My only wish was that there was some way to space out the bug netting so it doensn't feel so closed in...but maybe that's just my own neurosis! :)

Used this a few times now...im impressed with the overall sturdiness of the fabric/stitching. The stuff pocket on my buddy's more expensive hammock tore as he was setting up but i wont mention any brand names. The no see um bliss hammock is comfy and durable. I toss around a lot when i sleep and this hammock took all the abuse i could dish out. I have a eno cat tarp that fits it perfectly and i've stayed dry in hours of heavy rain. Once you sleep in a hammock you will never sleep on the ground again!

So I used this hammock all summer. I tried out several of my hiking partners hammocks and this one was my favorite. Here's the thing about hammocks- the bottom of course will get cold, but the sides of the hammock also wrap you up. If your sleeping bag gets compressed by the hammock, then it can't loft. No sleeping bag works if it can't loft. I simply purchased an extra large sleeping pad that is wider then my body. The pad keeps the hammock off of my shoulders so that my bag can loft and keep me warm. I was burning up in my hammock at 35 degrees. You have to use a nice thick sleeping pad if you want your bag to be able to loft.
Rained all night twice this year. I love being off the ground. I don't care how much it rains! Of course I had a nice cat tarp over me.
What more could you ask for?

I bought this hammock back in the winter months in preparation for the upcoming backpacking season. Firstly, let me say that I did some extensive hammock research before finally deciding on the Hammock Bliss, and I can proudly say that I am not dissappointed! I have used it atleast 15 times this season and have had no hang-ups. The only thing I would suggest in using this product during the fall months is that you need insulation like a sleeping pad or quilt under you, because it breathes so well. Other than that, it has been a fantastic investment, I take it absolutely EVERYWHERE. I did however change out the ropes, and added slap straps and carabiners, but it's definitely not necessary, that's just a preference. The ropes that come on the hammock are plenty durable and plenty long enough. If you want a high quality hammock with an incredibly cheap price this is the hammock for you!
Pretty good

This hammock is pretty good but has some minor flaws. The point of which the net string and the net come together is weak and breaks easily and the zipper is pretty flimsy. Other then that it has a large area for multiple people and the net works perfectly. I live in northern Maine so the black fly's, mosquitos and no-see-ums are everywhere, except for inside my hammock.

How sturdy is this hammock? I was considering getting one for both my wife and I to share. Would this hammock easily accomodate 2 people reaching potential 350 pounds? Will Backcountry.com accept a return of a defective hammock in exchange for a new one?

The hammock shouldn't have any problem holding you. Backcountry.com will exchange the item as well. However, its probably not going to be very comfortable for two, IMHO.

Is this waterproof or do you need a tarp?

You'll definitely need a tarp. These offer hardly any protection from the rain.
