Hamax Sno-Xross Sled - 2006 BCS

My wife and I got this sled for our grandkids. they are 4 & 6 years of age. We found this to be a great sled for them, they could steer it and it doesn't go too fast when they sit on it. The sled goes fast for the older folks that like to sled... a great ride in our driveway.

We ordered 2 of these sleds in january of 2007, and had a minor challenge with a broken seat, which the manufacturer and backcountry customer service came thru with flying colors by replacing the defective unit. We just had a decent snow fall,,, too powdery so we packed our driveway by driving up and down a few times to make a firm sled run. The sleds proved to give a awesome ride for a beginner by sitting on it, and a really fast ride for older kids,, inducing 2, 57 year old grandparents, by kneeling or standing in a hunched position (accompanying manual with the sled explains how to ride). Great product for kids young and non-young...

These sleds are unsafe and badly manufactured. Be aware!!! We attempted to buy 2 of these sleds for our kids for the holidays. The 1st 2 that we received were broken (1 had a cracked brake mount, 1 had a cracked seat). BC.com exchanged the sleds but of the next 2 only 1 worked (the 2nd one had another cracked seat). BC.com exchanged it again but the replacement had another cracked brake mount.
