I'm guessing it would float as long as you don't put anything absurdly heavy in it, but you can lash it down to keep it from going anywhere.

Sturdy and sealed to keep water out; simple design performs as expected. The buckles can be a little finicky, but I think it's necessary to keep them tight when the going gets rough. The only recommendation I have is to include a high-density foam to cushion & secure your precious cargo on the inside.
