These work well and are well-engineered and well thought-out. The fit is great; the neoprene sleeve makes it snug so there's no rattling. You can put a fuel canister inside them when packing (just like any bowl, really, but these have a flat bottom, which makes them very space-efficient). The squat shape makes them hard to knock over. Use them in the right order so you don't get food all over the sleeve packing up dirty dishes. The tops are a little stiff, but they work well. All in all, very handy.

Could you nest the Snow Peak 900 inside the inner diameter of this, with the lid taken off?

Re "GSI Outdoors Ultralight Nesting Bowl and Mug": Are these on sale or not? The thumbnail page shows them at 30% off, but when I put them in my shopping cart they're at regular price.

Affordable and light weight, keeps food warm for just over 10 minutes, and the nesting feature makes compact packing much easier. The bowl holds enough for 2 servings and the lit will help keep the bugs out while you stoke the fire; that is unless you prefer to have a little extra protein with your dinner.

Good bowl and mug set. Cleans up easy and decent insulation on the mug.

This is a decent cup/bowl set. It works as you'd expect and doesn't take up too much room. My only complaint is that it's difficult to fit most spoons/forks in this bowl. GSI does make a folding spork, but that doesn't really stand up to any decent use. All in all, not a bad buy.

These seem pretty handy, so far. Good, multipurpose bowl/cup combo. Be careful snapping the lid onto the cup. I wasn't paying attention and gave it a firm press in the center, and it folded because of the sipper cut out. No biggy, I just need to remember to press from the edges rather than the center.

NO it doesn't. It needs a 14oz bowl/cup that backcountry does not sell.

Small and light

Small and light. Cap fits snugly. Bowl is a little on the small side...but fits an alcohol stove nicely. Only downside is that mug can be difficult to remove from bowl.

Works well for keeping liquids warm while you are cooking a meal. Lightweight and cleans easily. The sip top helps to minimize spillage.
Couple with Primus EtaExpress

I bought this expressly to couple with the Primus EtaExpress stove. The stove pot will nest into the bowls and with the sipper lid on top or bottom, all will store in the Primus stuff sack. The foam band will insulate the hand from hot contents. The sipper lid helps keep the contents at temperature and keeps debris out - appreciated while drinking hot coffee on a cold and windy morning. Best of all it is relatively lightweight.

This thing seems like a good idea and I'm sure it will work. My only concern is bowl fits on the outside of the cup which will likely lead to oatmeal residue on the outside of the mug. There are worse things.

Actually I ordered the bowl as an extra for my Dualist cookset but it was to large. I ended up getting the (Gourmet Nesting Bowl/Cup) instead. Sold seperately from the Gourmet Cookset it fits nicely inside my Dualist cookset with enough room for my Pocket Rocket stove and the GSI telescoping "Foon".

Does anyone know if this cup will fit into MSR's reactor stove with the heating unit and small fuel can?

I seriously doubt it! Too many items & not enough space. The GSI bowl & mug dimensions are 5.3" x 5.3" & the Reactor measures 7" x 5.5" That in itself would be a very tight fit if it even fit at all.
Bowl - Not A Mug

I bought both the 14 oz. and 20 oz. versions knowing that the 14 oz. size would not work well as a bowl. Having both sizes allows two people to have both a 14 oz. mug and a 20 oz. bowl. Whoever does all the cooking gets the lid so their drink/food stays hot.

Good product. It's nice to have a bowl and a mug/cup to sip liquids at camp. The mug has a little sippy top and a thermal outside wrap to keep liquids warm. Good to store things while in your pack to save space.
