Turbo-charge your morning and hit the trail running with the GSI Outdoor Personal Java Press. The mug packs into the French press, and the plunger packs into the mug, so there’s no wasted space in your pack.

  • Separate mug and carafe design eliminates over-brewed, muddy coffee commonly found in other designs
  • BPA-free polypropylene construction is tough and lightweight
  • EVA sleeves on mug and carafe slide out for easy cleaning

Bottom Line: They say that waking up is hard, so hard to do.

Coffee tastes so much better in the woods

By:

Just bought this for my most recent trip. Works well, packs light, and the insulating pad around the plastic keeps the coffee nice and toasty. If you dont want to splurge for a titanium press this is a great option for much less.

Yes, the cup, filter, shaft and lids all nest together into a single unit. No, there is no handle on either the carafe or mug, just an insulating jacket on each.

Finally, good coffee on trail

By:
June 2, 2011

If you need coffee to do basic human actions, don't suffer on trail anymore. This press is compact enough where it can find a nice place in a pack, but big enough for the biggest caffeine fiend. The nesting mug/carafe design allows for separate drinking from the grounds container, always a plus. The plunger has a double gasket sealed rim, ensuring that almost no grounds make it into your beverage. Also, the plunger disassembles, allowing easy packing of the mug, carafe and plunger into one unit. The sleeves keep you and your drink toasty, and are easily removable for cleaning. Of course, the grounds are sometimes a hassle to clean out, and you do have to pack a decent amount of coffee grounds. Though to some people it may be worth the extra time and weight.

Eye opener

Great product, used for the weekend camping down in Fruita, Did not filter the sludge quite like my french press at home, but I had used a model that had had some miles on it. A french press, out of plastic, and insulated. It's pretty rocking!

Simply Amazing

This is everything I thought it'd be. Light, compact, strong, and it makes great coffee. I use it everyday at work and at the house. I love it. The only downside is the thermal sleeve on the actual mug slides off a little bit, not a big deal but I just wish it was a bit tighter. If you want a coffee press look no further.
