Description

A beacon of hope for the backpacking coffee addict.

Enjoy a quality cup of coffee on the trail (no, it's not an oxymoron) and use the the GSI Outdoors Personal Java Press to brew up a cuppa Joe. This set consists of a carafe/brewer with a lid and silicone plunger that works just like your French press at home. A separate mug is also included to avoid muddy, overbrewed coffee that develops when it sits with the grounds.
  • Cup, shaft, and punger all next into the carafe for easy packing
  • Infinity BPA-free polypropylene will not absorb odors, is super-lightweight, and is dishwasher-safe
  • EVA sleeve helps keep your beverage warm and protects your hand, and slides off for easy cleaning
  • Sip-It traps heat and lets you sip as you stroll without dousing yourself

It works.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This product delivers a fresh cup of coffee every morning when you need it to. Clean up is a hassle but what can you say... having coffee in the backcountry is one of the best feelings and a bit of messy clean up is well worth it. Easily a must-have on any outdoor adventures.

Awesome

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have tested it at home and used it at camp once. Makes a very tasty cup of coffee. I have been very pleased so far.

Great personal press.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It is just enough for two people, and keeps the coffee warm. This is a bit on the large side however.

Handy but bulky

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This thing is handy for making coffee on the trail but it is bulky. It makes a great cup of coffee. I still use this from time to time but have since switched to a drip type maker

Awesome. Perfect size for a couple cups, keeps it piping hot. Use this baby at home and out in the wild.

A Must-Have

This is a great addition to any camp kitchen! Easy to use, easy to clean, and it packs down relatively small. All of the materials are high quality, and it brews a good cup-o-joe.

So I took my lady friend backpacking and she's from Seattle so of course she needed her cup o' joe in the am. I surprised her with this number and she liked it so much, well, let's just say if the tent's a rockin' don't come a knockin'.
