GSI Outdoors Lexan Teaspoon - 2006 BCS

It's cheap. It's light. It's tough. What more could you want? Holds up well to heat, will not stain (mine is blue) or keep any taste. Unfortunately I lost mine at the bottom of a valley in Big South Fork. If anyone finds it and packs it out, I owe them a beer.

The only piece of silverware I packed for a 2 week backpacking trip. Its really all you need.

This spoons scoops like you wouldn't believe.

This baby sure does beat the cheap white plastic spoons you get at the cafeteria.

There's not a lot you can say about a spoon except this one is inexpensive, lightweight, & strong. Great to use with non-stick coated cookware.

There's definitely something to be said for the different sporks and 3-in-1 utensils, but they're just not the same as having a good 'ol spoon and fork. The lexan plastic is easy to clean and won't retain a scent or color tinge. It's durability will outlast your ability to keep up with it.

Durable, light, and cheap. I prefer a fork and spoon over sporks/foons, and the Lex doesn't scratch nonstick cookware. Plus, it's nice to have a tsp for cooking "gourmet" back country meals.

I like it a lot, light, strong, and it holds more in one bite than any other spoon I've seen anywhere.

sporks seem all multi-functional and all, but i really love having this spoon. you just can't scrape the bottom of your oatmeal quite as well with a spork. I don't why you wouldn't buy these, so cheap, light, and useful.

This spoon is great. Lightweight and durable. If you are eating spaghetti or lasagna, make sure you bring some soap to get the oil off. With soap it cleans up easy. Best bang for the buck in outdoor utensils.

These spoons are very lightweight and very hard to break. As long as you don't loose it, it will last you forever!
