GSI's 6-piece Hard Anodized Extreme Mess Set is an efficient choice for backcountry campers, alpinists, and scouts. It includes a 1qt pot with a fry pan lid made with Hard Anodized aluminum. It's an efficient, healthy way to make your meals. Hard Anodization seals aluminum cookware with three layers of non-stick coating. It is extremely hard and allows heat to quickly and evenly spread across the bottom and up the sides of the pot making it one of the best cooking surfaces available. It has the added benefits of being easy to clean and lightweight. The 6-piece mess set includes a plastic cup and bowl so you don't have to eat out of the pan, or can easily divide meals between two people. The Diamondback gripper securely holds pots so you don't drop your meal trying to get it off the stove. The mess set packs down efficiently and stores in a mesh bag.

Great buy

I bought this mess kit five years ago when I first got into backpacking, and I've never wanted to buy anything different. It's still in great shape and has no rust, despite the times I've left food or sand in it and forgot to clean it. Lightweight and great for cooking for one or two people.
