Crater Pant - Men's

The Ground Men’s Crater Pant probably won’t help you much on Mars where temps average -80F. But on Earth, these pants give you the weather protection you need to snorkel in powder or climb on frozen water. Ground gave these burly pants internal gaiters and suspenders to stop spindrift from sneaking in and added adjustable waist tabs so these pants still fit no matter how many layers you have on. Reinforced cuffs stop ski edges and sharp tools from shredding them.

Bottom Line: Not much help in Victoria Crater but great for Earth’s backcountry.

I thought these were my favorite piece of gear when I got them in the Ivory Tweed. They are sturdy, super waterproof and look awesome. But, they got really dirty on the first go - so I'm not so sure anymore.

love them

It still pretty warm out so haven't had a chance to test them in the field, but my home tests went well. They are waterproof (shower test), and breathable (sat around playing video games in them for several hours). I have them in grey tweed, which actually looks really sharp, the tweet part is a pinstripe. Love that they have suspenders so if you want you can get the support of bibs without wearing bibs. Or not. Only complaints are they aren't full zip on the sides, and thigh vents are on the outter thigh. Lets face it, if you get hot its in your crotch, so inner thigh vents would have made more sense. But this way you don't have vent zippers rubbing on your inner thigh, so it's a give-and-take.

Just got these and since it's August I haven't skied in them yet. Quality looks good. Adjustable waist and removable suspenders are nice features. The material and lining looks pretty tough without being bulky.

Ground's website says they're waterproof, and they seem breathable with good venting.

True to size: I'm a 34-34 and the large fits great.

Should make a great resort pant. Let it snow!
