Great Axe - SO LIGHT!

Having owned wood Stubai and heavy Black Diamond axes as a younger man, I was ready for something lighter as an "aging hotdogger." In my 70's, keeping pack weight down is IMPORTANT. My souls is still young, my body not so much. The Axe is an excellent length for typical higher angle snowfield use where steps must be pulled or cut, and is perfect for arrests from any position. AND LIGHT! STURDY! This is the last axe I'll ever need to buy.
