The Gregory Wingate Backpack is designed for hikers and backpackers who want a tough, functional weekend-sized pack without a lot of bells and whistles to get in the way. Constructed with a waterproof Tarpaulin bottom and strong 630D nylon, this pack stands up to tons of abuse. The Wingate's pivoting Response suspension system moves with you as you hike and comfortably carries loads up to 45lb. Top and bottom access points allow you to easily locate any piece of gear you need, and stretch side pockets give you a place to stash snacks for a quick grab. The hydration compatible and extremely comfortable Wingate is ideal for the minimalist who isn't willing to give up quality.

Bottom Line: Bomber construction? Yes. Heavy fancy features? No.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

Really like this pack. It has been a solid performer for me so far, with lots of adjustment abilities and a nice cambered suspension. I wish there were more pockets on the outside, but it is a fairly heavy pack to begin with and I'm sure they were trying to keep some of the weight down.

Very nice fit

Haven't used one of these. I have a cheap EMS bag, I am the winter mountaineering chair of the Rensselaer Outing Club. I got three of these for our club. I tried it on and it was really comfy. Tons of straps have no idea what some are for. Really nice size for a couple night trip..
