Good not great

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I wanted to love this pack. And to be honest there are features like the internal compression tightener, waist belt, and great organization pockets that redeem the pack. Unfortunately, the fit is rather frustrating and the adjustability is just not there. The pack feels small, not in volume, but rather in regards to where it sits on my back. The suspension and strapping design is such that I can only have resting awkwardly on the upper portion of my back, higher than where I would normally wear my day pack. If I do lengthen the straps, I am unable to use the adjustable chest strap without being choked by it, even on its lowest setting. Being 5'5" I can imagine that this pack would be almost unwearable for someone larger than myself.

Even with the excellent features, i.e. the hydration compatibility, mouth piece anchor, sunglasses pocket, suspension system; it's just too awkward for wearing over long distances. The only way I can bear to wear it is with the straps at their longest setting and without the chest strap. It's a bummer.
