When the framesheet's out, you can collapse the rugged nylon fabric into the pack's lid pocket, making a small package that's easy to pack and quick to grab for your summit push. Unpacked, the Verte can carry two ice axes, a hydration bladder, and plenty of external gear, all with glove-friendly hardware that makes winter use a snap.
