GEAR REVIEW: Gregory Savant 58 Backpack

Overall a great pack... I only found one minor "flaw". Find out more in my video review

Savant Packs

A series perfect for overnight trips, trekking, and general mountain use, offering a full, traditional feature set without a lot of clutter. Easy access to gear makes these packs versatile enough for use in the backcountry or traveling across the globe. Molded foam back panel, harnesses and waist belt means you'll get maximum durability and stability in this do-everything, high-value pack line.

I am tall -so I need the large size- but...

I am tall -so I need the large size- but I have a ~32 inch waist and I am worried that the waist belt will be too large. What sizes do the waist belts on these packs fit?

Obviously this is coming late, but just as FYI to anyone looking into this pack, I am 6'2" and my waist is 32", this pack works perfect for me, I have some room to cinch it down a little tighter if needed. Pretty adjustable. 34" and up is a little bit conservative.

Great Pack from Gregory

I had the chance to try this pack out on a couple of recent hikes and as with most Gregory packs, it's a winner. The medium is a 58 L pack. I really like the roll-top style secure top. It also has a nice separate water bladder compartment. The balance and comfort were very good. The only negative I have is with the water bottle pockets, but it's minor. See my complete review at:
