The 24-hour mountain sidekick.

Pack everything you need, and then some, into the Gregory Women’s J28 Backpack for a full day in the mountains. A beauty of a pack, the J28 has a sleek profile due to reduced seams and tightened lines, yet maintains beastliness with a load-bearing capacity of up to 35 pounds. Unlike other packs, when you max it out with gear you won’t over-strain your back or fall victim to excessive dampness. The J28’s women’s-specific CrossFlo Dynamic Transfer suspension (DTS) system creates physical space between you and the mesh back panel , which allows for constant airflow, and as the load increases, the shoulder harness transfers the weight to the frame to stiffen the support for equal distribution. This auto-balancing support system allows air to flow freely around the torso, which translates to greater ventilation in hot weather, and improved breathability for waterproof outerwear in the cold and wet.

If the weather on your excursion does happen to change drastically from hot to cold and wet, then whip out the readily-available rain cover to keep your gear dry. Built to withstand intense rock scrambling and bushwhacking, this pack is made from durable 210D nylon ripstop for when the trail gets harsh. Don’t worry about going thirsty because Gregory installed a hydration sleeve with hose port (reservoir not included), as well as two side water bottle pockets. In addition to water, bring food, extra layers, and any small accessories along on your adventure in the main outer bucket pocket, or any of the exterior pockets. In varying terrain, take along a trekking pole for help on the steeps and then cinch it to the quick-stow attachment for when the trail flattens out.

  • High-quality, durable ripstop nylon
  • CrossFlo DTS suspension system
  • Hydration sleeve with hose port
  • Integrated rain cover
  • Ventilated back panel
  • U-zip front access
  • Quick-stow attachment

Here's what others have to say...

good mid size pack

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

my wife bought this pack to use on treks that needed a little more than just hydration. We have used it just a few times but have found it to be a very comfortable pack to use. She did not like it as much as her osprey, it just didn't have quite as convenient storage. I actually thought is was a little cleaner look and a pretty cool pack.
