Great pack!

When you forget you are wearing a pack, then someone has done something right! The suspension system on this pack is phenomenal. The number of pockets is perfect as it allows the user to get a system in place and access what is needed at a particular time at any time. This pack is great for anyone who will be carrying heavier loads for longer amounts of time. Just make sure you look carefully at the sizing options.

Super supportive and has the pockets in all of the right places. The tilted bottle pocket is a great feature and makes reaching for my water while walking extremely easy and comfortable.

Zero complainants

I’ve tried ultralight packs. I’ve tried mid-range price point packs. I’ve tried alpine packs. Nothing compares to this one. 12 days back country and never sore. Intuitive design for easy reach everything. Unmatched comfort. Fits like a glove. I don’t feel like I’m carrying it; it fits like a part of my body. Very durable (had to descend around 1000ft of steep scree on my bottom and not a scratch on the bottom of my pack). It’s a little heavier than the ultralights that are very popular now, but I’m happy to carry the extra weight if it means super padded straps and hip belt. It’s also small enough to fit in an overhead bin on planes. In my opinion it’s the rolls Royce of backpacking packs. Quality matches the price. I’ve had two daypacks in the past 12 years- both Gregory, both used daily. I’ve never had a Gregory pack I didn’t love.

Very comfortable. The waistband is more rigid than other brands I tried which I liked because it distributed the weight of the pack more evenly across my hips and took most of the weight off my shoulders. Plenty of space for everything I needed for a 5 day backpacking trip.

This bag has been awesome. I have only done a two night trip so far, but it was very easy to adjust to make it very comfortable. My pack weight with water was around 35lbs and it was very easy to carry that weight. I like having some gear separation and the pockets on this bag did great for that. Only thing I would change is including a rain cover again for the newer models like Gregory did on previous versions on this bag.

Ultralight Bag!

This is the first framed pack I’ve used since the old school aluminum external framed packs. Major upgrade in the best ways. It’s very rigid but nothing flat or uncomfortable is touching your body. It fits a mountain of gear inside but the bag itself feels like it weighs nothing, especially when the beefy waist belt is properly fitted. Every component of the bag seems adjustable in one way or another which is really nice but there are a lot of straps so it could be a little confusing at first. Overall it’s an amazing bag that’s super comfortable and feather light. I might want wider webbing on the chest strap if I could change anything but I have a wider chest and that may not bother someone with a smaller frame.

Spacious, Burley, and Heavy

Seems like I could fit more than 65L in this pack but the pack itself contributed a lot of weight. Extra pockets were minimal which is good in my opinion. I enjoyed having access to the main body of the pack through the zipper and my water bottle through the angled holder. After my first trip my shoulders hurt, but after adjusting the size for the next trip my shoulders hurt less. A zipper cord broke on the first trip. My gear goes through a lot of abuse so having a tough pack is good. It is a good pack, but I think there are lighter and more nimble packs out there.

Very comfortable and durable Pack

This pack fit great, has great adjustability, and has amazing access points. I have backpacked for will over 20-years and this is one of the most functional backpacks I have ever owned. The bottom access for sleeping bag and pad is a must in a pack. The front zipper access makes it very convenient for on-the-trail stops. The back vents well and carries weight very efficiently. Highly recommended!!
