What would be the best option for carrying a waterbottle such as a nalgene for easy access with this bag?

This bag certainly does not lend itself to holding a large water bottle such as a Nalgene but if you need to you could just use some cord and a carabiner to clip it on

This backpack is pretty sick. It has a ton of sweet organizing pockets in the main body and on the three outer pockets, which btw are great for storing things like chapstick, pens, metro cards, etc. The laptop spot is EXCELLENT. I got it solely for the purpose of how great the laptop pocket is. The only draw back is that the pack is heavy, even before you put stuff in it. I wear it in NYC all the time and schlepp around with it no problem however shoulders tend to be sore after a day spent with this pack. I'm 5'7" 130lbs and the backpack looks pretty big on me FYI.
