The Granit Gear AirVent HD Reduction Dry Blocs bring waterproof-breathable storage to your raft or canoe trip. Heavy-duty 70D cordura nylon protects your supplies from getting banged around, tossed around, and stepped on, and the eVent bottom lets air escape as you compress the sack. An arched rolling stay holds the bag open as you load it, then forms an easy-to-grab handle when sealed.

Great investment. kept their contents (book, clothes, ipod, etc.) perfectly dry on week long sea kayaking trip with rain, and complete submersion of bags. ability to let the air leak out is wonderful.
It says assorted. When ordering, do you just get 1 bag, or multiple
It says assorted. When ordering, do you just get 1 bag, or multiple bags? The XL bag for example says: Assorted, XL 39.95. Are you purchasing 1 bag for 39.95 or multiple "assorted" bags for 39.95?

I am pretty sure the assorted means the colour, and then you pick the size you will be needing. It is one bag for $39.95 though.

I have been using this bag for about a year now. I really like the eVent technology because it allows for air to escape out of the bag, but prevents water from getting in. I was skeptical that it would work, but with testing it work outstandingly well. I primarily use this bag for traveling because it is so light and packs down small with out the need for compression straps. It it if you are looking to save some weight and like eVent technology.

It says theses sacks let eai out of the sack, but do they allow air back in? I am in the army and am looking for a sac that will allow me to compress my army clothes so that they take up as little room as possible. Kind of like the vacuum bags you would use at home to minimize closet space but for the field.

The idea is that you squish air out, roll it up and clip it, and then there's no room for air to come back in. These are perfect for what you describe.

The Granite Gear DryBlocs might be a better option. They're a little more durable, but if you're packing them into a portage pack that might not matter to you all that much.
