Description

The quintessential outdoor bed.

The Grand Trunk Single Parachute Hammock makes for a simple, off-the-ground place to sleep, and it packs down to the size of a softball, so it's extremely easy to tote. Set it up for desert camping or when you just want a nice place to relax around your car campsite. The high-strength parachute material is mildew-resistant and triple-reinforced at all weight-bearing points.

This is a great hammock. It is a little heavier than I would have thought. This is mostly because of the hardware. The material is actually really thin. I think it is awesome that it comes with everything necessary. I am definitely pleased with this hammock.

It does come with the hardware and straps. They even fit in the little pocket for easy transportation.

What type of rain fly should I pick up to go with this hammock? I'm in love with this one since they offer it in pink!

Also... would these work with it?

BLU,

yes, depending on the weight, but those straps will work fine.

Personally i would stick with the open rain shelters over the hammock, its much easier to set up that way. You wont have a spider web of ropes and straps going to every tree, one side will be completely open, which is nice if you have a little fire or whatever.

I recently just bought my fiance a Grand Trunk Single Parachute Hammock. She loves it! I haven't gotten to try it out yet, because she will not get out of it. I own a ENO double hammock and I'm very interested in comparing the two hammocks over our next couple of trips. One thing I like about the GT is that the hammock I bought came with the straps to hang the hammock with, my ENO did not. But I like the pack bag on the ENO better, because of the compression straps on it. The GT does not have the compression straps and therefore does not pack down as small. The GT is a great hammock either way you look at it.
