Description

Make short work of long rides.

Gore Bike Wear has won a special place in our hearts because of their impressive engineering attention to even the most minute of details in nearly every garment they produce. Take the Xenon 2.0 Shorts, for example. If you prefer the convenience of a short, but demand the comfort and support of a dedicated bib, you'll appreciate that every aspect of this top-performing short has been re-evaluated to ensure your complete comfort on every ride you take it on.

Gore started with a high-gauge Lycra to maximize muscle support, before dividing the short into panels to create a sublime ergonomic fit. They even shifted all of the short's flatlock seams away from potential irritation or chafe points, so you'll never have to disrupt your rhythm while readjusting your shorts. The short's front panels are constructed with a nylon that is less elastic, so the portion of the short that holds the front of the Xenon Lady insert retains its support profile better. Gore opted not to use a silicone bead in its leg endings, but rather a wide, compressive band of nylon and Lycra to keep the hems confidently in place. And lastly, Gore constructed the inside saddle contact panels of the short from a more abrasion-resistant weave of nylon, ensuring the Xenon 2.0 is the short you reach for season after season.

Gore has fitted the Xenon 2.0 short with their excellent Xenon Lady insert, best taken along on long, hard rides. This three-dimensional chamois houses both foam and gel inserts to create multiple densities across its surface, ensuring you get consistent pressure distribution and relief where you need it most. The smooth and seamless, antimicrobial surface deftly wicks away moisture without irritating your skin, even after extended hours in the saddle.

The Gore Bike Wear Women's Xenon 2.0 Shorts are available in either Black, or White with Black accent. Both colors feature reflective logo hits and inserts on the back legs to help keep you visible if you're riding home after dusk. They are available in X-Small to XX-Large and feature an inseam measuring 23cm (9in).

  • Abrasion-resistant panels at inside leg and seat areas ensure your shorts stay pristine for season after season
  • Reflective logo hits on sides and back help keep you visible to motorists when riding after dusk

Great compression, very comfortable chamois. I have worn Assos for years and these are even better feeling, especially on long rides (I am a size M)

The chamois was really big in these -- felt oversized. I wear an XS in all my bike shorts and with the chamois being very wide in this pair - made them feel baggie and large in the seat - had to send them back. For reference- Assos, Giordana Carbon, various Sugoi and Per Uz. over the years are others that I wear/have worn. May be great in larger sizes - the chamois would form to the larger seart area, and the style/look was nice - waist sat nice an low enough, flat, etc ... but not good fit in the smaller size.

I'm on the side of the size spectrum, but the same seems to hold true, in the tights anyway; and if in the tights, the size/shape of the chamois must really be exaggerated. I found the Gore tights adequate for adverse weather (windstopper), but felt like wearing a huge, unsightly diaper. I also prefer Giordana for most all other occasions. Haven't tried the Assos yet. And won't probably try Gore shorts.
